This unit enables the Model 5902 Long Haul Submarine Cable Test Set to be calibrated at sea by its operators without the necessity for it to come ashore or to be returned to headquarters.
Insulation Resistance and Capacitance
 The Model 5906A provides high stability Standard Test Resistors and Capacitors to calibrate the Insulation Resistance and Capacitance measurement facilities of the Model 5902 and similar Long-Haul Submarine Cable Test Sets.
